
It seems to have worked out though, as few people have been automatically upgraded to the Chromium-based browser. Microsoft's decision to launch Edge without ARM64 support was questionable at the time, since the company actually announced the launch date just a day before the Surface Pro X hit the market. Previously, if you tried to install it on those PCs, you'd get the 32-bit Intel version, which ran in emulation.
